The legend of maui and the giant fish
Maui has always dreamed of going fishing with his brothers, ever since his ancient ancestor Murirangawhenua told him that he was to be a master fishermen, just like his brothers. He always asked if he could go with them the next time and they would always refuse to take him and say an excuse like “ but you’re to young”, which really shocked me, Maui always dreamed that he would go, but they say no, because he should be able to fish, but apparently he is to young, which shouldn't be a thing.

One night he was left alone, so his plan went into action, he began weaving a fishing line out of flax and bounded securely to the line, was a jawbone, given too him by his ancestor, finishing up, he spoke an old karakia which gave it strength. When he finished it was nearly morning, and he knew that his brothers will be up and fishing soon, so he snuck over to the canoe and his in the hull. He was so lucky that he just made it in because his brothers just stepped into the boat seconds later...
