Cybersmart work this week

This week I was learning how to use the Polyline and Curve tool to create my own Scotland Rugby outfit
I enjoyed Creating something I can reuse at any Time
I found it challenging to use the Polyline because it was Hard at sometimes but I learnt to use it Efficiently
My digital learning object shows that I can make something for my own self and am able to use the Curve and Polyline Tool
I wouldn't like to change anything at the moment because I like it how it is
Here it is,

Cybersmart RWC mascot mashup

Today I was learning how to use the curve tool and polyline tool.
I enjoyed tracing around the object because it was creating something new.
I found it challenging to trace with both tools because it wouldn't work sometimes.
My digital learning object shows that I have found a new confidence using the two tools.
Next time I would like to finish it by tracing the flag due to the product being a work in progress.
Here is the mascot so far.

Science fair poster

Turanganui of Gisborne Intermediate and a class from Manutuke school went down to waikanae stream on the 30th of July and helped and learned from EIT, The department of Conservation, and the Rongowhakaata Iwi Trust. We helped plant plants/trees, and learnt about stuff like pests and birds. Turanganui was tasked with making a Science fair poster about a world/community problem. Here is the poster I created.

First steps of Matariki animation

So today in Manaiakalani, we were asked to make an animation about Matariki, so we did.We used brush ninja, not too fancy but it made an animation which is alright.I enjoyed making the animation through brush ninja because part of it was pretty easy. What I found hard was trying to figure out how to present it and how to make it.
This post show that I am a stepping up blogger.
Also, here is the animation I made.

Maori myths and legends writing piece in progress

A couple of weeks ago, we were learning about Maori myths. So our task was to wright a piece about a legend we know. Mine is about Maui and the giant Fish/ Stingray.

The legend of maui and the giant fish
Maui has always dreamed of going fishing with his brothers, ever since his ancient ancestor Murirangawhenua told him that he was to be a master fishermen, just like his brothers. Then One day, Maui’s brothers came back from fishing, they were the best fishermen in all the land. He always asked if he could go with them the next time and they would always refuse to take him and say an excuse like “ but you’re to young”, which really shocked me, Maui always dreamed that he would go, but they say no, because he should be able to fish, but apparently he is to young, which shouldn't be a thing.

Things like that, sayings like that- “You're way too young”, “You’ll take up all the space in the canoe, it's not big you know”- They shouldn't be a thing, I mean, just because he's young doesn't mean he's not allowed to fish, that is just his brothers being unkind and cruel.

So, Maui came up with a secret plan. One night he was left alone, so his plan went into action, he began weaving a fishing line out of flax and bounded securely to the line, was a jawbone, given too him by his ancestor, finishing up, he spoke an old karakia which gave it strength. When he finished it was nearly morning, and he knew that his brothers will be up and fishing soon, so he snuck over to the canoe and his in the hull. He was so lucky that he just made it in because his brothers just stepped into the boat seconds later...

My bridge walk (in progress)

Last Friday we went on a heritage trail walk with matua Damon and we walked around the two bridges first we made a stop a the cafe and matua talked with us about the history of gisborne and he told us about a Maori chief called Ruapane and how two men were not being nice to others so Ruapane because of how high he was (not tall, in power), he ordered for both of their heads to be decapitated witch means their heads being cut of, witch is where the word Whataupoko comes from.
He also told us the names of the three rivers witch was: 1. Turanga(nui a kiwa), 2. Waimata, 3. taraheru also known as golden moss.
As we were walking we came to another stop where the statue of wal' and dog (now outside the gisborne memorial library and there also was another statue witch showed the meaning of evolution.
We walked to the bridge and we made a stop their and talked again

The next stop was at a sign telling us about the old times when their was no cars and no roads and the bridge was just being made.

The little house on the prairie part 1

The little house on the prairie by Laura ingalls wilder

At the start of the story the ingalls were a happy family living in their little house in the big woods of Wisconsin but they decided to move because it was to crowded with every one coming by so often and all the big trees surrounding them.
Every evening he would like to talk to ma about the open west. One day at the very last of the winter they decided to move, ma begged pa for them to stay because it was cold and the house was warm and snug along as comfortable but they readied the wagon by putting a canvas over the wagon "bows" loaded it with all their stuff, they had to leave their furniture like the tables chairs.
